Anna Luisa founded a Femtech company called Impli, which makes people’s lives safer and more convenient using implantable technologies. Implantables, unlike wearable technologies, cannot be lost or forgotten and allow the users to get a more accurate diagnoses. Anna Luisa’s goal is to make fertility treatment more accessible, safer and more successful with real-time hormone monitoring. Impli’s strong focus is on HealthTech applications and monitoring/sensing solutions. Anna Luisa attained an MSc from Imperial College in Biotechnology with a particular focus on synthetic biology and biophysics. In her career so far, she has developed the commercial strategy of a bioinformatics start-up in Germany and been responsible for successfully scaling the European business of an American pharma supply chain company. Anna Luisa founded Impli Ltd in April 2019 and they launched their first product in January 2020 with a personal implantable device that allows its wearer to store medical information on a user-friendly platform. Anna Luisa and her team are currently developing more products that link identity and internal biomarkers, to enhance precision medicine and preventative healthcare. Their hormone monitoring implant is forecast to be on the market by 2025. What an exciting prospect to having Impli ready to make our fertility journeys easier. We are so grateful for women disruptors like Anna Louisa paving the way for a better servicing of women’s health, an area that has been greatly underserved.
